Too late?

Since 1979, the journalist Oriana Fallaci warned of the dangers of the Islamization process that the world is experiencing. She did so more vocally after the September 11 attacks, where the entire world witnessed one of the most sinister acts of terrorism ever to occur.

Oriana was a feminist, and if anything characterized her, it was her consistency with her fights and principles.

I am not a feminist, nor do I aspire to be one. Oriana and I probably would not have been able to sit down and talk in other times; however, given the current panorama, it is quite likely that I would have already interviewed her and invited her to work together against a common evil.

While it is true that feminism was necessary at one point to conquer women’s rights, today they have lost their focus, common sense, and direction. From being a movement to win rights, they have turned into a supremacist political lobby where only their rights and their whims matter, and if you do not agree with them, they trample, crush, and erase you from the map.

They went from conquering the right to vote, for example, to fighting to impose a religious and political structure (Islam) that would eliminate them from every topic, level, and context.

From promoting our inclusion in the workforce, they moved to applauding men in dresses stealing our spaces.

What happened here? Does anyone know? I am lost.

From conquering rights, they moved to snatching them away from others, such as the right babies have to be born and protected in their mothers’ wombs.

I could name many examples, but I think everyone has already grasped and understood my point.

Historically they were aggressive women; however, what is seen today is truly baffling. It is impossible to engage in dialogue with a feminist without coming away violated in some way. Their way of communicating is violence.

To win rights, it is not necessary to be violent, and even less so to earn respect. If fear is your way of making yourself understood and respected, then you have a big problem.

There are days I wonder what Oriana Fallaci would think if she were alive today, seeing how the movement she supported and sustained has turned into a horror show, where they now support and applaud everything that is wrong and clearly goes against our rights and dignity as women.

I have always said that progressivism is a monster that ends up devouring its own children. And what progressivism does not yet seem to understand is that it will be devoured without any mercy for insisting on a suicidal empathy with a structure that, to date, has proven time and again the violence and forcefulness with which it grows and manages itself.

What a shame they did not listen to Oriana, nor to me.

Perhaps it will be too late when they do, when there is no turning back.
